A Patient Care Assistant (PCA) will be expected to perform care activities for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients as well as other tasks to assist the nursing staff under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist nurse and/provider with patient care.
  • Provide measures as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Assumes responsibilities for meeting patient needs such as hygiene, eating, linen changes, etc.
  • Ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Observes patient and documents observation.
  • Attend all required meetings with patient, caregivers, and company staff when asked.

Qualifications:

 

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved PCA program.
  • Licensure, Registry, Certifications Required: CAN (Certified Nursing Assistant) or equivalent training..
  • Special Training: Have the knowledge and skills to care for patients of all ages, genders, and race.

Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Date Posted: January 1, 2015

A Licensed Practical Nurse should be able to provide care for patients and utilize basic nursing practice knowledge and skills).

Responsibilities:

  • Collect patient data and completes required forms, identifies problems and needs.
  • Follows patient care plan developed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Care provided conforms to accepted practice standards.
  • Records patient care delivered as planned.
  • Delegates nursing care to appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

 

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
  • Licensure, Registry, Certifications Required: LPN with current SC license.
  • Training: Have the knowledge and skills to care for patients of all ages, genders, and race.
  • Experience: 2 or more years experience preferred.
